There is a youtube "provobeast" where he just cut into the speaker wire then back to the speaker wire lead. I think i will go with the 4 channel and the mono. I plan on running either a 4 channel amp for the door speakers, and a mono for the sub, or a 5 channel for all. All i am trying to do is separate the signal and send it back to a processor i have, then to the amp, back to the door speakers and one to an amp for a sub. I am not looking at replacing the head unit, that is just silly with all it has. I am not able to find a metra or any other where I am able to do this. Thank you, that is what i am looking to do. sorry i don't have the part numbers for the plugs, but i think they were from metra. if im remember correctly you have to add one pin to one of the plugs. this is the same plug i used on my 2011 f250 and i already test fit it on my 2017 f-150 and it works. Then the speaker wires from the amp go back to the factory plug to give the amplified signal to the speakers. So no external amplifier to tap into.good! So assuming you have the same radio as my 2017 with nav you could look into a plug for a Ford Fiesta male and female plugs they will connect to the radio and to the harness then you connect 5 wires power ground and accessories +2 more (red, black and yellow look at the pic) and you would have one set of wires going to the amp (from the head unit plug) and the other set to the speakers ( from the plug connected to the truck harness) if you use a high quality amp that accept high level inputs you don’t need anything else to get signal to the amplifier. The last FX4 we had the system was a waste of money. The DSR1 interfaces at the factory amp location behind the rear seat whereas the PAC unit interfaces behind the head unit. The PAC is more sorted out that the Rockford DSR1 and the software in my opinion is so much better. I have the PAC Interface in my vehicle and that part# is an AP4-FD21 and yes, this interface requires tapping into factory wires or even cutting them depending on the setup. I have a 2016 Lariat with the same setup as your truck except I have the Sony system and yours is B&O but just like your system, my head unit cannot be removed. The DSR1 is not perfect because they are still working out some of the software bugs so keep that in mind. I`m not sure if they have made it compatible with the B&O system so you`ll have to check with the manufacture. This unit does not require any cutting of your factory harnesses and it allows the owner to remove the factory amp from the vehicle. The one that many people are high on right now is the Rockford Fosgate DSR1. To do what you want to do, you`re going to have to look at one of the new Interface products that are available.
